These Cybermen had been involved in a long and costly was against the Vogans. The Cybermen were still powerful but they had a huge weakness, their weakness was gold as it choked their respiratory systems. The Cybermen wanted to destory the planet Voga as it was mostly made up of gold.
These Cybermen only appeared in the 1975 story Revenge of the Cybermen.
