Logos used in the Doctor Who Title Sequences

1967 – 1969 Logo

Introduced in 1967, toward the end of Doctor Who Season 4 in The Macra Terror

1970 – 1973 Logo

Introduced in 1970, at the start of Doctor Who Season 7 in Spearhead from Space

1973 – 1980 Logo

Introduced in 1973, at the start of Doctor Who Season 11 in The Time Warrior

1980 – 1985 Logo

Introduced in 1980, at the start of Doctor Who Season 18 in The Leisure Hive

1987+ Logo

Introduced in 1987, at the start of Doctor Who Season 24 in Time and the Rani

1996 Logo

Introduced in 1996, for the TV Movie

2005 Logo

Introduced in 2005, at the start of Doctor Who Series 1 in Rose

2006 Logo

Introduced in 2006, in the 2006 Christmas Special The Runaway Bride

This was then used in the title sequence from Series 3 in 2007, in 2009 it was higher quality due to the following episodes being shot in high Definition.

2010 Logo

Introduced in 2010, at the start of Doctor Who Series 5 in The Eleventh Hour

In Doctor Who Series 6 it looked slightly different with the BBC logo added to the title sequence.

2012 Logo

Introduced in 2012, at the start of Doctor Who Series 7 in Asylum of the Daleks

Series 7 was split into two, the first 5 episodes with Amy and Rory in 2012 featured a unique logo themed to each episode.

This was used from the 2012 Christmas Special The Snowmen

This was the same as the previous logo but remained consistent for the rest of Series 7 in 2013.

2013 – 50th Anniversary Logo

A variation of the original Doctor Who logo and title sequence was used for the 50th Anniversay special episode The Day of the Doctor

2014 Logo

Introduced in 2014, at the start of Doctor Who Series 8 in Deep Breath

2018 Logo

Introduced in 2018, at the start of Doctor Who Series 11. Although this was the new logo, the title sequence wasn’t introduced until the second episode, The Ghost Monument
