Landing on the planet Vulcan in 2020AD the Doctor, Polly and Ben are horrified to find two inanimate Daleks. They are even more alarmed when they discover that the colonists plan to reactivate the Daleks and use them as their slaves.

Polly is taken prisoner by the rebels who intend to use the Daleks to take control of the colony.
The Daleks start reproducing themselves, and are preparing to seize control of the colony.
Bragen leads the rebellion and takes control of the colony, killing Governor Hensell.
As a battle rages between the rebels and the loyal colonists, the Daleks begin their attack.
