Doctor Who

The Doctor is a traveller from another planet who often lands on Earth. There, the Doctor befriends people and after learning to trust them, invites them on adventures through time and space in the TARDIS, which is disguised as a police box.

About Doctor Who

The first episode of Doctor Who aired Saturday 23rd November 1963 and ran for 26 Seasons until 1989. In 2005 after a 16 year absence from the BBC, Doctor Who was relaunched and became an instant success with over 10 million people watching the first episode.

Doctor Who Classic Series Stories

Starting from the beginning – 23rd November 1963

In the classic series, groups of episodes formed individual stories, or serials, typically averaging four to six episodes per story, 24 minutes each.

Starting from 26th March 2005.

In the modern series, episodes are longer averaging 45 minutes and usually formed standalone stories, with the occasional two parter.
