Starting in 1963, K9 and Company was the first official Doctor Who spin-off in 1981. When Doctor Who was relaunched in 2005, it had numerous spin-offs, including the documentary series Doctor Who Confidential. Followed closely by Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, and a children’s CBBC show Totally Doctor Who going behind the scenes.
