Terror of the Vervoids Synopsis

The third phase of the trial shifts to the interstellar liner Hyperion III, where the Doctor and Mel encounter the Vervoids, a genetically engineered race of sentient plant creatures. When these creations turn murderous and threaten to exterminate the crew, the Doctor is forced to destroy the entire species to save the galaxy.

The Valeyard immediately seizes upon this act of extinction as definitive proof of genocide, arguing that the Doctor has crossed the ultimate moral line.
