Ace and the Doctor travel back to Victorian England, to a house she knew in her childhood.
Ace breaks the glowing panel in the spaceship and the Doctor learns of Smith's bizarre evolutionary experiments.
Smith's plans are revealed and the Doctor must convince the light not to destroy all of the life on Earth.
