The fossilised hand is now in the possession of a technician called Driscoll at Nunton Power Station. He places the fossilised hand in the reactor core. The hand begins to draw power and reacts to the radiation, causing an overload situation. As the complex is evacuated, computers and equipment begin to blow up anjd Nunton’s director, Professor Watson, is thrown to the floor.
